2003 SEASON ::: MORE RACING NEWS First Michelin Test: Well we had our first test on the Michelins…but before I go into that, first things first. Ron had his surgery done on his shoulder, and it came out great. It’s not a quick recovery type thing, which I know is frustrating for him, but he’ll be good as new by the time Sebring comes. I know it’s killing him to not be doing the testing with us on the tires…so drop him a note at his website…I’m sure it would make him feel good. We did do two days of testing at Road Atlanta, and although I won’t say how quick we went…we did go very very fast. It was however a very cold two days, and that race track really gets fast when it is cold out. We learned a lot….but for sure have a ton more to do. I know that the folks at Pratt and Miller are busy going over data, and will have lots up their sleeves for the next test. The folks at Michelin are excited about us being with them as we are. I know that they recognize the effort we put into the program and understand that we have to win. One great thing for me is being reunited with tire engineer Donny Wilson. He and I go back to the Panoz days, and the cat totally gets off on winning. A very smart guy that knows his stuff.
