2003 SEASON :::
MORE RACING NEWS
Fall Sebring Test Report
Well a lot has been going on since my last report, and I am sure that most of you are, needless to say, curious as to what is going on. I would love to be able to tell you exactly what is going on, but at this stage, I think it is all very much speculation. Suffice to say that everyone at GM is still extremely committed to the Corvette program and the ALMS
and everyone at Pratt and Miller is totally working hard towards making sure that next year we are again successful. When you see what Gary Pratt and everyone is doing
well it certainly is with a lot of pride that you get in that car and push it hard.
We recently had several days of testing at Sebring, and things went very well. We ran three cars, and did not have a single problem. We worked a lot on tire development, and Ron and I particularly did a lot of aero work. I know that both he and I were glad to do this, as a lot of it was geared towards Le Mans, but we did do some work that we would be using in the ALMS. Several new guys were given the opportunity to drive the cars, and although I dont think I can say at this point who was driving, all did a very nice job. It will be interesting to see how things shape up over the next few months.
The off season is generally a really boring time with us not doing a lot of testing, but I think that is going to change going into next year. I personally am going to be doing a lot of work both in the gym and the karate studio. I really fell behind my family a lot this year, and Robin is now two belts above me !!! She should be doing her black belt test in May
with me
if my schedule permits, testing for it in September. Although later than I would have liked, it should work out great as that is when my son will be old enough to test for his black belt, and it would be great if we both get to test together.
Ill keep putting up stuff on the website as the winter goes on
and as we test. I know that I need to get more driving tips up
so Ill work on that as well. In the meantime, have a great Thanksgiving everyone
and a safe holiday season.
